Files Cipher is a simple but powerful tool for protecting confidential information. The program uses an encryption algorithm with private key that was specially developed by FC Soft and has proven to be effective over many years of operation. With Files Cipher, files and folders can be encrypted independently of their size and number. The program saves all files and folders to one crypto-file, which allows them to be easily moved from one storage device to another. Due to optimum compression, the crypto-file is several times smaller than the source file.
It will no longer be necessary to generate long and complicated passwords because Files Cipher does it for you. The built-in password generator creates passwords of any length and complexity, with evaluation of password strength on-the-fly. The password can also be typed manually either using the keyboard or clicking the necessary characters on the built-in ASCII table that consists of 256 characters.
The main drawback of most encryption software is the impossibility to decrypt files after they are moved to another computer if the corresponding software is not installed. Files Cipher easily solves this problem. Due to SFX technology, a special archive can be created that facilitates decryption on any Windows-driven computer even without installing Files Cipher.
